Talks, workshops, and teaching

Sessions I’ve given on on-device AI, version control, and engineering careers.

These are the public talks and workshops I have given, with the event and date for each, and a link wherever there is one.

GDG DevFest Tripoli 2025

On 20 December 2025 I spoke at DevFest Tripoli 2025, organized by GDG North Lebanon at Beirut Arab University’s Tripoli campus, in the 11:10–11:50 slot. The talk, “On-Device Multimodal Assistants: Can We Fit GPT-Vision on Small Hardware?”, covered quantization, memory budgets, and hardware acceleration for running vision-language models on consumer hardware, and ended with a live demo.

CodewithSerah Pre-Winter Sprint Bootcamp, January 2026

In January 2026 I gave two sessions at the CodewithSerah Pre-Winter Sprint Bootcamp, announced by the host on 26 January. The first, “Git & GitHub”, covered how version control works from repositories and branches to pull requests, and how to use GitHub as a portfolio. The second, “The Long Way into AI (And Why That’s Normal)”, was about careers and the choices behind them.

Git and GitHub beginner workshop, LAU Byblos, April 2026

In April 2026 I coordinated a hands-on Git and GitHub workshop hosted by the LAU Byblos Software Engineering Club. The exercise material, written by Tarek AlSaleh, walks students through a staged repository with merge conflicts, stashes, and rebases, and is public on GitHub.
